'Woody' arrived in the Winter of 2024 and we would like to thank Richard Miller and Meirion Davies for entrusting us with him.
From an illustrious family, his pedigree needs very little introductions. by Lemonshill Top Note out of Eyarth Windflower. A Royal Welsh Section B Champion, he’s a proven sire who consistently stamps quality, balance, and pony character—seen in winners at county and national level and HOYS qualifiers. His pedigree and performance have made him an influential modern Section B sire in the UK and overseas and we are excited to see his influence on our mares here at the stud. Sire winner of the RWAS progeny Competition on a number of occasions.

Eyarth Thowra

Thowra comes to us as an outcross for our Decree daughters a previous Royal Welsh Winner at three and 2nd as a stallion also multi silver and Bronze WPCS medal winner.
Bred from an illustrious family- we are excited to see his first crop in 2020.
His mother being from one of the most influential female lines- Thowra combines a range of pony like qualities which we are keen to maintain throughout our breeding program. He featured in the 1998 Brightwells High Flyer selling for a substantial figure . Having spent most of his life in Scotland we are pleased that he was able to come south. Thowra is full brother to E. Beau Guest (Waxwing Stud) and E. Mogwli (now residing in Sweden).

Telynau Royal Decree

Decree himself a Supreme Champion and multi-medal winner. His pedigree combines some of the most successful welsh pony lines in the history of the breed. His dam is a major prizewinner including champion at RWAS and arguably the most successful mare bred at Telynau Stud. Decree’s full sister was exported to Australia after a successful array of accolades in the UK.

Decree is only a young stallion but has proved his worth through his progeny on a range of mares. He has sired 4 silver and bronze medal winning youngsters to date as well as featuring at a respectable placings in the sire ratings with limited stock shown in 2018/19. Decree stood at Rotherwood Stud for the seasons of 2018, 2019, 2020 His stock has gone on to successful studs as breeding prospects and overseas.

Millcroft Iska Roc

Iska needs very little introductions he has an outstanding track record standing Male Champion at the Royal Welsh amongst other winnings. His performance is nothing short of outstanding as a ridden pony qualifying on a number of occasions for HOYS, and being awarded Champion ridden at The Royal Welsh etc. He has not only been best of breed at HOYS but also won the working hunter class over jumps. Iska has also been best of breed at Olympia.
Iska follows the studs pattern with an emphasis on 'pony type qualities' and is an exciting outcross for our Thowra and Decree daughters.
